BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE – ADVISORY TO PARTICIPANTS

These days, things are not business as usual.

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, and the mandated social distancing in our province, we have made a very difficult decision.

Bowl for Kids Sake events planned for the remainder of March and April 2020 are postponed.

We wish we were not faced with this decision, but it is the right one given the uncertainty of our community at this time.

Bowl for Kids Sake is our most important fundraiser of the year, and postponing it will certainly create challenges in the months ahead for our organization.

Over 2,100 young people and their families rely on us to facilitate their network of positive adults and we cannot falter in our support of them. Especially in stressful times, young people need mentors they can turn to for support and encouragement.

While we haven’t set new dates yet, we will let you know as soon as we do.

In the meanwhile, we encourage you to continue to support this important fundraiser – without the funds generated by participants and sponsors of Bowl for Kids Sake, our organization would struggle to operate.

Please continue to collect pledges through online fundraising. Our staff are here to support your efforts, so don’t hesitate to contact us. While we are working remotely at this time, we are still doing everything possible to ensure the agency’s steadfast commitment to the young people we serve.

We are also still looking for more bowling teams, so if you were planning to register a team, please contact Natalie, and we will add you to our list for communications regarding rescheduled events.

If you need assistance using our online platforms, or just want to contact us about your team, please reach out to Natalie. We’ll still be keeping track of your achievements to your fundraising goals.

We appreciate your efforts so far to help Big Brothers Big Sisters and look forward to your continued support as we work through this difficult time.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and agency staff, stay safe, stay healthy – we’ll be in touch soon.

Wishing you and your family well,

Marianne Noakes

Executive Director
