The Opportunity
Big Brothers Big Sisters, Serving Grand Erie, Halton and Hamilton is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to support its marketing and communications strategy, including but not limited to content creation, asset development, stakeholder engagement, and the elevation of brand awareness. Reporting to the Manager of Communications, this role contributes significantly to the organization’s strategic priority of “Brand amplification through personalized and impactful storytelling.”

We’re proud to support 1,500 young people in the Halton, Hamilton and Grand Erie regions each year.
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Client & Volunteer Intake Support
a) Answer phone calls and emails related to inquiries and referrals from individuals interested in volunteering with or participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs
b) Assist with initial child/family intake by collecting basic demographic and mentoring program-related information
c) Assist with data entry for intake, monitoring and compliance purposes, and maintain accurate client/volunteer records in the Microsoft Dynamics Service Delivery Platform, used for case management
d) Assist with Big Brothers Big Sisters intake process and pre-match training programs provided to children, families/caregivers and volunteers
e) Conduct follow-up calls or emails to confirm appointments, match monitoring and/or the completion of BBBS screening checklist items, providing support where needed.
f) Assist with client/volunteer interviews and assessments
g) Develop and implement mentor recruitment initiatives
h) Participate in community events, fairs, and engagement activities
i) Ensure all volunteer, child and caregiver interactions follow confidentiality and privacy standards in line with organizational policies and Big Brothers Big Sisters National Standards
2. Program Support
a) Creation of additional, mission-aligned program modules for BBBS mentorship programs
b) Provide program support for case managers, specific to the execution of a summer leadership (day) camp for older mentees, Transition to Independence (T2I)
c) Help organize workshops or group sessions for Big Brothers Big Sisters T2I mentoring program, by working with external partners/organizations, preparing materials and confirming attendance
d) Review educational and support resources/assets made available to mentors, mentees and caregivers
e) Provide general information about mentoring programs and services (1:1, group, community-based, school-based) to clients, caregivers and community partners.
f) Prepare and organize case files for review by BBBS program staff in accordance with organizational policies and usage of the Microsoft Dynamics Service Delivery Platform (CRM)
g) Assist with match monitoring at required intervals for children, families and volunteers where required
h) Ensure all volunteer, child and caregiver interactions follow confidentiality and privacy standards in line with organizational policies and Big Brothers Big Sisters National Standards
Who You Are
• You come with previous experience in social services, program administration and/or community engagement
• You are a strong, adaptable communicator
• You are an eager collaborator who works well with others to achieve clear, impactful outcomes
• You are organized and self-motivated; capable of managing multiple priorities/projects
• You are comfortable conducting interviews and/or facilitating
Required
• A clear vulnerable sector police check (VSC)
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel within Halton, Hamilton and Grand Erie regions for events
Eligibility
• Be between 15 – 30 years of age at the start of the employment. The youth must be at least 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
• Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
• Be available to work the full work term May – August 2026.
